Theology in Worship

We are seeing a huge push in our Worship circle for infusing our new songs with rich Theology and Biblical truths. I'm super excited and passionate about this and you will most likely see some future posts about this.

It is so important and vital for worship leaders to be thinking about. What is the message that we are sending with our set-lists?

I was at a Korean church this last sunday and I don't speak Korean enough to see their theological stance. But, I will tell you this. I know a few words... Some Key ones and I heard them many times throughout the service and songs. I heard: Jesus, Father, Holy, Rose Again, and I think Holy spirit (by context). I was shocked that as a non-korean speaker I was able to see much of the Gospel message. And not only that, but the pastor was vividly in love with Christ. Biggest smile. Kindest heart. He was in Love with Jesus.

That is how we should strive to be. We need to be so real in our services that no matter who is there (if they know the language or not) they can connect with Jesus. Our worship should speak of the truth of the gospel.

Just a friendly reminder. Let's be intentional to bring Jesus to church.

Also, I wanted to let you know about the links on the side of this blog. They are of some really respected people. Worship central and Generate are to movements that are worth checking out. I will be continuing to update and add important sites to this list so keep up.
