Basic Info as of June 2010.
My objective is to be a Worship Leader/Pastor at a church in which I will have the opportunity to raise up and develop a team and, in community with them, grow spiritually and musically. I intend to cultivate, and invest my life into, a team of skilled musicians that have a growing passion for God and His glory. My vision is to see the church united as one worshipping together for the glory of God. My musical style is contemporary / post-modern (style, not theology) with a lot of musical dynamic.
I have been leading worship for just over 10 years. During the last few years, I was the director of worship for the youth at Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in Chino, California as well as traveled as a worship leader/artist playing at various churches and camps. I have recently been serving as a worship leader with a church in South Korea, Christian International Church in Daejeon. I believe that worship is foundational in the life of every Christian. It is a response to what God has done, is doing and will do in the future. Music is one way that He has given us to respond to Him in worship.
In leading worship, I have developed a clear set of values regarding worship and worship team purpose. Our worship should involve: Responsiveness, Expectancy, Authenticity, Sacrifice, Excellence, and should be Biblical. I have also learned that worship teams should be a place of: Community, Development/Growth, and Unity/Accountability.
